Lesson 92

(2/14) Lesson 92: Red Day, White Day, Black Day.
Apparently the 14th of every month is a love-related day in Korea, but the 14th days in February, March and April are the most well-known. February 14th - Red Day - is the day for women to give gifts (chocolate) to the men. March 14th - White Day - is the day for men to give gifts (non-chocolate) to the women. If you did not get anything in February or March, then you eat noodles with black bean sauce and mourn your single life on April 14th - Black Day.

All of the love-related holidays are (from January to December): Candle Day, Red Day, White Day, Black Day, Rose Day, Kiss Day, Silver Day, Green Day, Music Day, Wine Day, Movie Day, and Hug Day.

  1. That's so interesting! Did any of the kids do any 14th day stuff at school, or are the considered too young?
